JACKSONVILLE, FL. - January 18, 2000 (BUSINESS JOURNAL) -
CCPrep.com, a St. Augustine World Wide Web-based information technology
training company, has been purchased by Earthweb (Nasdaq: EWBX)
of New York City for $1.6 million. The online training site, designed
and developed by Jacksonville company Capernaum, was owned by Lou
Rossi. It was created to help information technology professionals
learn how to become certified as an engineer for Cisco (Nasdaq:
CSCO ), which makes traffic routers for the Internet, and also offered
study tips and online chats for related certifications. Last year,
the site hosted a chat session that included more than 20,000 IT
professionals.
