This week, The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) chose Capernaum,
Inc. to implement a call center at its new building in Nashville,
Tennessee. The scheduled installation is set for later this month
and it follows a similar installation recently completed by Capernaum
at CBN’s main headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The call center in Nashville will add overflow call support to
the Virginia Beach operations and it will provide disaster contingency
services if needed. During times of high call volume and telethons,
CBN will offload calls to Nashville guaranteeing better service
to its partners. “Both call centers will utilize the same
technology,” said Jonathan White, Capernaum’s Account
Manager. “It was also important to CBN to have the same look
and feel for their Partner Service Representatives and System Administrators
to work with, regardless of the location.”
The Nashville call center will use the same database and web-based
user interface that is a fusion of Capernaum’s computer telephony
and web application development. If needed, CBN can seamlessly transfer
operations between the two locations, without sacrificing data,
time, or expense.
Capernaum’s relationship with CBN began last summer, when
discussions began about the first call center project. Although
located in Jacksonville, Capernaum had the experience of working
with other large-scale ministries such as Young Life, International
Bible Society, and Compassion International.
